From first introduction to a trusted placement
Here's a brief overview of how we work: from your application to the follow-up after your nanny is placed. We're happy to go through every detail with you in person during the intake call.
Getting acquainted
Application
You apply through our application form, sharing the details of your family.
Intake conversation
In a personal call, we get to know each other and discuss your wishes, your family situation, and your children's needs.
A tailored profile
Together we put together a profile, which we post online so that suitable nannies can apply.
Selection
Signing on
Once everything is clear, we sign the contract and officially begin the search for suitable candidates.
Candidate profiles
We continuously share candidate profiles: a short introduction, CV, cover letter, and the necessary certificates.
Thorough screening
Every candidate goes through an extensive screening: identity verification, reference checks, a certificate of good conduct, and a social media check. A personality test can be requested as an optional add-on.
Interviews
If a profile appeals to you, we schedule an interview and guide you with practical tips and points of attention.
Placement & follow-up
Trial period
After the interviews, we recommend a trial period so you can see the nanny at work in practice, possibly with several candidates.
Placement
If the trial period goes well, the nanny is officially placed with your family.
Follow-up
Even after placement, we stay actively involved, offering advice and support to both the family and the nanny.
For Nannies
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- have relevant, hands-on experience in childcare (as a nanny, in a daycare setting, or in a similar role)
- are fluent in English or Dutch and, ideally, one or more additional languages
- can provide verifiable references from previous employers
- are willing to undergo a full background check, including a certificate of good conduct
- are flexible, discreet, and comfortable working within a private household
- are legally allowed to work in the country of placement
- hold a valid driver's license, where required by the family
Every application is reviewed individually. Even without a formal childcare diploma, genuine experience and a strong sense of professionalism can make you a good fit.
When is training important?
A relevant certification or training becomes especially important when:
- the placement involves the care of a newborn or infant (for example, a maternity nurse or newborn care specialist background)
- the family specifically requests a diploma in childcare, pedagogy, or early childhood education
- the role includes light educational duties, such as homeschooling support or tutoring
- the child has particular medical, developmental, or safety needs
- the position is within a high-profile household, where an extra layer of training and screening is often expected
A first aid and CPR certificate (including pediatric first aid) is always a strong asset, and a requirement.
