» Job Description «
A warm and welcoming family with homes in Antwerp and Knokke is seeking an experienced, caring and highly organised Live-in Nanny to join their household long-term. The family has two children, a 14-month-old daughter and a 7-year-old son, and travels regularly internationally.
Start Date: October/November 2026
Location: Antwerp & Knokke, Belgium
Schedule: 5/7 – approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility required on weekends
Working hours: 07:00–10:00 & 15:00–19:00
Accommodation: Private bedroom with shared bathroom / private living area
Salary: €27–€30 gross/hour
Languages: Dutch, Portuguese, French and/or English
Travel: Regular international travel with the family
Role Overview:
➤ Sole-charge care of a 14-month-old and 7-year-old
➤ School/nursery drop-off & pick-up
➤ Taking children to activities, including tennis twice per week
➤ Creating structure and maintaining daily routines
➤ Homework, creative play, outdoor activities, bath & bedtime
➤ Cooking healthy family meals and meal preparation
➤ Child-related housekeeping and children’s laundry
➤ Keeping children’s areas organised
➤ Coordinating with the housekeeper
➤ Regular international travel with the family
Ideal Nanny Profile:
➤ Minimum 5+ years of professional childcare experience
➤ Warm, nurturing and naturally maternal
➤ Highly organised and able to create structure
➤ Proactive, independent and able to “see what needs to be done”
➤ Excellent communication skills and open to feedback
➤ Confident cook and comfortable with meal preparation
➤ Family-oriented, spontaneous and not overly formal
➤ Professional, discreet and reliable
➤ Driving licence required; willingness to learn/use a cargo bike
Additional Details:
➤ Minimum 3-year commitment preferred
➤ Warm family atmosphere with clear professional boundaries
➤ Regular international travel is part of the role
➤ One small Maltipoo in the household
➤ Weekend flexibility required
➤ Visa sponsorship may be considered
